Results Based Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
IAPP TA organized a training course on Results Based Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). A total of 16 Government officials responsible for M&E participated in the course. The participants were from different ministries and departments, as well as the IAPP. The intensive 6-day course started with an overall understanding of results- based frameworks and then lead participants through using the logical framework for developing M&E processes. It distinguished between ongoing monitoring and the purpose of evaluation. It also discussed information needs and how to use the information to improve performance. It covered indicators, data gathering instruments and how to analyze data to allow for meaningful results. A whole day was dedicated to field visit as a way of integrating learning with real life experience.
